MET-L-CHEK offers a complete line of emulsifiers, removers and cleaners which are used in the fluorescent (Type 1) and visible (Type 2) dye penetrant testing process. These materials are designed to be used for removal of the penetrant film from the inspected surface while retarding the removal from any discontinuities, facilitating flaw detection. All MET-L-CHEK lipophilic (Method B) and hydrophilic (Method D) emulsifiers and solvent removers (Method C) are listed on the Qualified Products List for AMS-2644. They meet the requirements of ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code and ASTM E-1417 as well as DIN EN ISO 3452-2 for penetrant inspection materials. They are low in Sulfur, Chlorine and other Halogens, making them safe for use on titanium and high nickel alloys in nuclear applications. They are designed to meet the needs of the most critical inspection applications.

The use of developers is an important part of the penetrant inspection process. The developer draws the penetrant from the discontinuity to form a more uniform background enhancing the detectability of the penetrant indication. All MET-L-CHEK developers are listed on the Qualified Products List for AMS-2644. They meet the requirements of ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code and ASTM E-1417 as well as EN ISO 3452-2 for penetrant inspection materials. They are low in Sulfur, Chlorine and other Halogens, making them safe for use on titanium and high nickel alloys in nuclear applications.
